Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to the monthly subscription fees paid by Cleaners for access to the Connect Cleaner platform. Connect Cleaner does not process payments for cleaning services between clients and Cleaners, and therefore this policy does not apply to such payments.

1. Subscription Model

Connect Cleaner offers a SaaS platform for independent cleaning professionals. Cleaners pay a monthly subscription fee to access client matching, scheduling tools, and profile listing. Subscriptions are processed by a Merchant-of-Record billing partner (named on your invoice at checkout), who handles the payment transaction on our behalf.

2. Free Trial

New subscribers may be offered a 7-day free trial on paid plans. During the trial period, you will not be charged. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid monthly subscription and your payment method will be charged.

  • You may cancel at any time during the trial at no cost.
  • No refund is issued for unused trial days, as no charge was made.

3. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)

Under Directive 2011/83/EU (Consumer Rights Directive), as transposed into Irish law by S.I. No. 484/2013 (European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013), consumers in the European Union have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase.

By subscribing and expressly consenting to immediate access to the platform, you acknowledge that the digital service begins immediately and that you may lose your right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed. If you request a withdrawal within the 14-day period and the service has only been partially provided, you may be entitled to a proportional refund for the unused portion.

4. Refund Eligibility

Refunds may be granted in the following circumstances:

  • Duplicate charge: If you were charged more than once for the same billing period, we will refund the duplicate amount in full.
  • Technical failure: If a platform error prevented you from accessing the service for a significant portion of your billing period, you may request a proportional refund.
  • Cancellation within 48 hours: If you cancel your subscription within 48 hours of your first paid charge (not trial) and have not used the platform to accept or complete any bookings during that period, you may request a full refund.

Refunds are not available for:

  • Partial months of service after the 48-hour window
  • Dissatisfaction with the number of bookings received (the subscription provides access to the platform, not a guarantee of clients)
  • Failure to cancel before a renewal date
  • Periods during which the Cleaner's profile was voluntarily set to offline

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email support@connectcleaner.net with:

  • Your registered email address
  • The date of the charge
  • The reason for your request

We aim to respond to all refund requests within 5 business days. Approved refunds are processed by our billing partner and typically appear in your account within 5–10 business days, depending on your payment provider.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you will retain access to paid features until then. After cancellation:

  • Your plan reverts to Free (if available) or your profile is delisted from search results
  • No further charges will be made
  • Your account and data remain accessible; only paid features are restricted

7. Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is unauthorised, please contact us at support@connectcleaner.net before initiating a chargeback with your bank. We are committed to resolving billing issues promptly. Filing a chargeback without contacting us first may result in account suspension pending investigation.

8. Payment Partner

All subscription payments are processed by a Merchant-of-Record (MoR) billing partner (named on your checkout page and invoice). The MoR handles payment processing, tax collection, and invoice generation on our behalf. Your payment relationship for the subscription transaction is with the MoR, not directly with Connect Cleaner. The MoR's terms apply to the payment transaction itself; this Refund Policy governs how Connect Cleaner authorises refunds.
